The president of T-series MM Satish got a call from Pakistan threatening him to go slow on his crackdown of pirated CDs of the yet-to-be released film Krrish. Satish, also the president and in-charge of the anti-piracy and licensing cell, claimed that the person said “go slow” Sadaf video. He approached the Oshiwara police station on Wednesday and registered a complaint.

The company recently raided Sadaf video offices in Thane and seized a huge number of pirated inlay cards of Krrish. “This may have provoked them to make these calls. He also asked us to stop raids across the country or face the consequences,” said Satish.

“We have registered a complaint and are looking into the matter. Investigations are on,” said a police officer from the Oshiwara police station.

Sadaf video, the largest piracy player in India, is believed to be run by gangster. They were keen to distribute pirated versions of Krrish across Asia and were trying to desperately get hold of the master print.

The man who made the threatening calls claimed that the pirated version of the film could rake in at least Rs10 crore, and that he was willing to cough up Rs1 crore to end the firm’s anti-piracy raids against unauthorised copies of the film.
