Mumbai to face 10% water cut from June 22

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has announced an indefinite 10 per cent water cut which will last till the onset of the monsoon.

The cut will be implemented from June 22. It is a part of precautionary measures since water levels in the lakes supplying water to the city are very low due to delayed rainfall.

From the beginning of this month, parts of the city including Bhatwadi in Ghatkopar, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali and parts of south Mumbai have been reporting a shortage of water supply.
