Paraguay beat T&T, but both exit

Trinidad & Tobago's remote chance of a place in the last 16 of the World Cup ended on Tuesday when they lost 2-0 to Paraguay.

KAISERSLAUTERN: Trinidad & Tobago's remote chance of a place in the last 16 of the World Cup ended on Tuesday when they lost 2-0 to Paraguay.

Brent Sancho headed into his own goal in the 25th minute of the Group B game and Paraguay scored a second through Nelson Cuevas in the 86th.

Paraguay had lost their first two games and had no chance of advancing.

Trinidad needed to win and hope Sweden would lose to England to qualify for the second round at their first World Cup.
