Kannada star Rakshitha will tie the knot with director Prem by the yearend.

BANGALORE: Kannada star Rakshitha will tie the knot with director Prem by the yearend.

The Rakshitha-Prem affair has been a well-kept secret, though the Kannada tabloid press has time and again hinted at it. In an interview, however, Rakshitha revealed her marriage plans.

By December, Prem's next film would have been released and Rakshitha's commitments honoured.

Prem, who has delivered three consecutive hits, including Jogi, is busy with his next venture Preethi Eke Bhoomi Ellidhe, with himself in the leading role.

In over four years, Rakshitha has acted in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films. She has shared screen space with heroes, including Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Vijay, Puneet Raj Kumar, Darshan, Sudeep, Mahesh Babu, NTR Junior and Ravi Teja.

While she is known for a glamorous lifestyle, Prem comes from a rural background. She says this is what drew her to him. "Prem appealed to me because he was earthy and quite different from people around me."
