NEW DELHI: Sabeer Bhatia, co-founder of Hotmail, is also getting caught up in the World Cup football fever sweeping the globe.

His latest venture, BlogEverywhere.com, the company that brings the power of blogging to every browser, announced the launch of a 2006 World Cup toolbar, which allows individuals to customise their toolbar in the colours of their favourite team.

This toolbar also enables them to receive the latest news on matches, scores and highlights delivered to their browser as a ticker.

In addition, they can make and read comments on the Web pages they are currently viewing.

"As World Cup 2006 fever gets underway, people want to identify closely with their favourite playing nations and get the latest updates on scores, match highlights and schedules delivered right to their browser."

"This toolbar gives football fans the ability to do this in an easy-to-use manner," Shiraz Kanga, CTO and co-founder of BlogEverywhere.com, was quoted by Market Wire from Mountain View, California.

This football toolbar is available now at http://www.blogeverywhere.com/worldcup for all 32 qualifying teams and one generic version for every other fan.

"We want to capture the essence of contextual blogging and enhance the user experience on sites such as Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail," said Bhatia.
