Rahul Mahajan and Vivek Moitra started drinking champagne at about 8:30 in the evening. Moitra was expecting Sahil and his friends. At 11 pm, Sahil, Karan Ahuja and Rahul Malhotra arrived in Sahil’s Optra car. When they entered 7 Safdarjung Road, Mahajan was in his jacuzzi and Vivek was sitting beside him on a table. Moitra hugged Sahil and asked him to get the drugs. Sahil left with both his friends at about 11:45. Rahul Malhotra was dropped by Sahil at his Greater Kailash home. Sahil and Rahul then drove to Vasant Vihar and purchased drugs from a Nigerian national.
They drove back to Mahajan’s residence at 12:40 and gave the drugs to Moitra and Mahajan who tasted it along with Sahil. Moitra, who found it to be of bad quality, and asked Sahil to get a fresh supply.
Sahil once again drove to Vasant Vihar with Malhotra and on the way dropped him and picked up Trisahy Khanna who was watching a movie at PVR Priya.
They collected a fresh supply from Abdullah and came back to 7 Safdarjung Road at 1:30 am. Meanwhile, Sahil, who had also tasted the first sample of drugs, started feeling uneasy. When they reached Mahajan’s residence, they found Moitra and Mahajan in a bad shape. At Sahil’s instruction, water was splattered on Moitra’s face, which was covered with froth. Sahil also took away a sachet of the drugs from Moitra’s pocket.
Again at Sahil’s insistence, Anil and Ganesh, the servants of Mahajan, rushed Moitra and Mahajan to Apollo hospital in two ambassador cars at 2:55 am.
After sending Moitra and Mahajan to the hospital, Sahil and Trishay left the residence. On the way Sahil vomited on the driveway.
Sahil was then taken by Trishay to the Spring Meadows nursing home in East of Kailash where he was administered an injection. Though the hospital’s staff asked him to get admitted, he left along with Trishay for their respective homes. The next day Sahil left for Srinagar.
Meanwhile, before rushing Mahajan and Moitra to hospital, the servants washed the vomit off the washbasin and also removed the glass and champagne. This was done as per the instructions of Harish Sharma.
The police rushed to the spot after they were informed at 5 am by the security staff of Apollo.
