Thirty-three people were wounded in Kashmir on Wednesday when suspected militants lobbed a grenade at a tourist bus, police said.

SRINAGAR: Two persons were killed and 33 were wounded in Kashmir on Wednesday when suspected militants lobbed two grenades at two tourist buses, police said, in the second attack on tourists in a week.
The two killed were tourists from West Bengal, reports from Kolkata said. The deaths could not be confirmed as reports from Srinagar said the two were in a critical condition.
The attacks took place near the mountain-ringed Dal Lake in Srinagar, Kashmir's summer capital and a bustling tourist centre.
Witnesses said the wounded, many of whom were bleeding, were being ferried to hospitals in ambulances and police vehicles.
Women and children were among the wounded, police said.
Last week four Indian tourists, including a child and a woman, were killed and six wounded when a grenade was thrown at their bus in Srinagar.
The tourist season is at its peak in the scenic Himalayan region of Kashmir where rebels have been fighting since 1989, a war that has killed more than 45,000 people.
More than 600,000 tourists visited Kashmir last year -- a record since militancy began.
The militants are normally not known to attack tourists and last week's attack was not claimed by any militant outfit.
It was condemned by the frontline rebel group Hizbul Mujahideen.
There have been a string of attacks in Kashmir since last week when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited the strife-torn region and held a peace roundtable with Kashmiris.
The conference was boycotted by the region's main political separatists and threatened by the militants.
