NEW DELHI: With the entire government machinery behind it, the Oversight Committee, formed to facilitate the effective implementation of quotas for the OBC in higher and technical educational institutions, got down to work on Tuesday.

The committee, headed by senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily, held its first meeting on Tuesday to prepare the roadmap on how to achieve reservations.

“We have enough money to achieve this. The government has kept aside about Rs5000-6000 crore for seat increase and related issues. The Prime Minister has assured that money will be no problem and more could be spent in this regard,” said Moily.
