Patna Mayor surrenders in RJD leader murder case

The Mayor of Patna, Krishna Murari Yadav, on Monday surrendered before a district court here in connection with the murder of former Patna Water Board Chairman and RJD leader Ashok Yadav last year.

PATNA: The Mayor of Patna, Krishna Murari Yadav, on Monday surrendered before a district court here in connection with the murder of former Patna Water Board Chairman and RJD leader Ashok Yadav last year.

The Mayor gave himself up before Chief Judicial Magistrate Sushma Sinha who granted him bail on two sureties of ten thousand rupees each.

A single bench of Justice Navin Sinha of the Patna High Court had on May 1 this year directed Yadav to surrender before the lower court within four weeks.

Ashok Yadav, the patna former water board chairman was killed in a bomb attack while he was sitting in his office in 2005
