Four die in fire at RCF's Chembur building

MUMBAI: Four persons were killed and two injured in a major fire in the administrative building of the Rashtriya Chemical and Fertilisers Ltd at Chembur here on Wednesday.

"Six persons were injured in the fire. Four succumbed to injuries while the other two are being given medical treatment," Deputy General Manager Prakash Desai said.

The fire was noticed at 8:45 am on the third floor of Priyadarshini building, occupied by the ONGC.  Documents and other material caught fire. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

RCF's fire brigade and tenders from the Mumbai Fire Brigade and Mutual Aid Group were rushed to the spot, and the fire was brought under control by 9.30 am.
