YP Singh may fight for Pravin

Controversial IPS officer YP Singh, who resigned from the force alleging corruption, and is now practising law, is likely to defend Pravin Mahajan.

Pravin has been booked under Section 302 of the IPC for murdering his brother, BJP leader Pramod Mahajan. His case is being fought by friend Nandkumar Rajurkar. “I have been approached by some of Pravin’s friends, but I would like his family members to contact me,” said Singh.

“From whatever I have gathered, it looks to be a killing and can be charged under culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Shooting under impulse, in rage and after quarrel, can be dubbed as a killing,” he said.
