14-yr-old says she was 'raped' by 42 persons

MUMBAI: A 14-year-old girl on Monday night lodged a complaint with the police, claiming that she was raped by 42 persons in the last one year, including blood relatives.
    
A case of rape has been registered against 21 persons, including the girl's grandfather, uncle, maternal uncle and some more blood relatives, DCP Ravindra Sengaonkar said.
    
The girl, a native of Allahabad, had shifted to Mumbai a year ago after her mother passed away. Since then she was staying with her father at Ghatkopar, and later at Gautam Nagar after her father shifted there, the DCP said.
    
The girl has claimed that the 42 persons named by her raped her from time to time in the past one year, Sengaonkar said, adding that the girl has been sent for medical examination.
