Ash falls from cycle, suffers 'minor injuries'

BANGALORE: Bollywood actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai fell from a bicycle while shooting at Badami in Karnataka's Bagalkote district on Friday and suffered "minor abrasions", police sources said.

"She suffered minor abrasions in the leg. She was given treatment and there is nothing to worry", a police official said from Bagalkote.

Aishwaraya was shooting for Mani Ratnam-directed 'Guru' in which she is playing the lead role against actor Abhishek Bachchan.

'Guru' is said to be a 'historical film' set in the backdrop of India's first struggle for Independence. Shooting of the film was in progress for the past few days, sources said.
