SSC results: differently-abled students from Pune shine bright

Pune: Life doesn't come easy for these students but what they have done against the odds is not only commendable but an example for other students to follow.
At the Blind Girl's Training Center, they couldn't see the computer screens that teachers were glued to check results but they could hear the whoops of joy and know that a dream has come true as all six students who appeared cleared the exams.Scoring 81%, student Anita Navgire was happier for her family who were excited about the result." My parents and siblings who supported me a lot are very excited about me being the topper at my school. I had expected 80% and worked very hard to get my goal at any cost." At Poona school and home for the blind trust, over half a dozen students scored distinction with the topper Raju Solankee scoring a whopping 90%. Other students who scored well were Gaurav Adhir 84%, Deep Dhokle 83%, Satish Jadhav 81%.

Similar celebrations were seen by students of Adhar Muk Badhir  Vidyalaya who shone the brightest with all their students securing more than 70 % with topper Yuvraj Kamble securing 85.20%.
"We now plan to enroll him in a course which interests him and think that his percentage will enable him to chose according to his choice. We are happy as he worked very hard despite his odds," she said. Sonali Kadam came a close second with 84%. "My father hopes that I can get a hostel facility in Pune city which is safe as we live far away from city but he hopes I can continue my studies after my good marks," she said.

At Apang Kalynakari Sanstha which is school for differently abled students, it was a good year with hundred percent results and student Komal Mohan topping with 77% followed closely by Sagar Shinde and Vitthal Kandekar passing with 76% and 74.40% respectively.
Principal Atmaram Dhootonde of Ruia School said disability of his students who are hearing impaired did not deter them from achieving their dreams but makes them more determined to succeed in life. Mahesh Kautwar, standing first with 72% aspires to become a Computer Engineer. Vivek Sure and Akshay Bhambale both scored identical marks at 67%. Son of a tailor, Vivek plans to enroll into an ITI course.
