After Aam Aadmi Party announced Subhash Ware as its candidate for the Lok Sabha election, first it was builder and member of AAP, DS Kulkarni who raised an objection over Ware's selection and now former IAS officer Arun Bhatia has come down heavily on AAP claiming that the selection process of the candidate was not fair and the selection took place behind door.

When contacted Maruti Bhapkar, district convener of AAP over Bhatia's allegations, he said, " Bhatia has democratic right to express his feelings, but Ware's selection was not unethical. The party at national level has already announced that since party has not yet reached to the grass root level, it would be asking applicants to send their forms to headquarters along with signatures of their supporters. The selection of candidate has been done by following proper procedure."

Here is Arun Bhatia's Post on his Facebook page which he posted on Thursday.

"The information that has come to me from AAP workers is that the Pune candidate was not selected by voters or local party workers or volunteers. AAP's declarations that candidates would be selected on the basis of the people's wishes and that candidates would not be thrust upon voters against their choice through nepotism or party dictatorship was all false propaganda. The party has violated its declared principles. The Pune candidate was unknown to voters and workers. One worker, Dr. Anwar Shaikh, of Gandhinagar, Yerwada, stated that the AAP web site had asked for names and serial numbers of voters in the electoral rolls. When he asked why the data was required he was told by sms that it was for completing the application form of the Pune candidate. He came and met me.But for completion of the form the signatures of 600 voters is also required. Therefore either there are no signatures or the signatures are false.Another worker, Anil Shinde, has said the same. Information given to me from Satara is the same. The selection has been unethical and done behind closed doors by the inner circle of the party. Application forms and procedures are meant to fool us."
