2 men attack 27 year old event manager at Sangamwadi Bridge

Pune: While investigation of the Hinjewadi murder case is still on, a 27-year-old event manager was attacked by two unidentified persons at Sangamwadi bridge near Bombay Engineering Group gate on Thursday night. The victim was riding his bike when the incident ocurred. The duo attacked him and snatched away cash, debits card and gold chain worth Rs 65,000.

The incident took place at the Sangamwadi bridge near Bombay Engineering Group gate on Thursday around 11.30 pm. The victim, a resident of Senapati Bapat road area has lodged a complaint with Yerawada police station against the two.
Recalling the incident, the victim said, “ I was returning home from Koregaon park area. I was riding slowly when near Bombay Engineering Group gate, two people came on a bike and the pillion rider hit me with a stick. I fell down and they started abusing me. I could not retaliate and they took away my gold chain, cash and five debit cards.”
Sub-inspector Abhijeet Ahirrao said, “We are investigating the case. From complainant we have received the bike numbers and have approached Regional Transport office to get the information about the owner of the bike.”
