A 21-year-old, Swapnil Borse, who had undergone bypass surgery, was allegedly thrown out from a compartment of a running train by the train ticket examiner (TTE) on Monday about 8 pm.

The youth, a resident of Sakora taluka of Nashik district, sustained head injuries and was admitted to a government hospital in Nandgaon.

Swapnil boarded the Nagpur-bound Sevagram Express from Mumbai at Nashik Road station on Monday evening.
He had come to Nashik for post-operative check-up at Wockhardt hospital.

As the train was entering Nandgaon railway station, the TTE came to Swapnil and wanted to examine his ticket. Apparently there was an altercation between the two, since the youth was travelling in a reserved compartment on a general ticket.
