A 19-year-old stock trader was allegedly kidnapped and robbed by three unidentified men on Saturday night. The victim, Meet Shailesh Brahmabhatt, was forcibly picked up from near Cinemax theatre on SV Road in Goregaon.

The money was meant for household expenses and he was going to give it to his mother. Brahmabhatt’s father is a wire contractor for MTNL in Dhule district.

“Coming out of the ATM, Brahmabhatt received a call from his girlfriend and they decided to meet near Cinemax theatre in Goregaon. While Brahmabhatt was waiting for her, three men came in a Maruti van, gagged him and put a blindfold on his eyes and pushed him into the vehicle,” said police inspector RL Kasbe of Goregaon police station.

Pedestrians who saw Brahmabhatt sitting and crying on the road informed the Mumbai police control room. The control room alerted the Bangur Nagar police. A Bangur Nagar police team rushed to the spot and took Brahmbhatt to Goregaon police station.
