Supriya Sule promises special package for Hinjewadi IT hub

Baramati MP of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Supriya Sule, on Thursday promised to work on a special package for the IT hub of Hinjewadi to address the various infrastructural problems plaguing the area.

She was speaking at a special meeting organised by Hinjewadi Industries Association (HIA), a body formed by software companies to address the various problems in the area.

“I have taken up the issues with chief minister, deputy chief minister and industry minister and they have assured me a special package for the area in the next four months,” she said.

Sule admitted of lapses on the part of the state government in its failure to address problems related to roads, public transport and other infrastructural-related issues in Hinjewadi.

“Public transport is a burning issue in the area that needs top priority. However, due to lack of proper direction, the traffic situation has gone out of hand in the area,” she said.

The NCP leader said that the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) had procured 30 buses which would be put to use in Hinjewadi.
