Sex assault: Mumbai cop threatens complainant

A 40-year-old Dahisar resident has approached the assistant commissioner of police (Dahisar division) alleging that senior police inspector Parshuram Kakad has been threatening her to withdraw the complaint against him. Kakad refused to comment on the issue.

In January, when Kakad was in charge of the Dahisar police station, the woman had stormed into the police station and threatened to “expose him”. He allegedly pushed her and manhandled her.

Sources said she allegedly was involved with Kakad, who is married. But, Kakde had denied the allegations and claimed there was “nothing personal between them”.

Soon after a departmental inquiry was initiated to look into the allegations, Kakad was transferred to the Local Arms Division (LAD) on deputation for a month and then again brought back to Dahisar police station.
