Seven held for flesh trade racket

A special squad of police on Saturday arrested seven persons including three women who were engaged in flesh trade. Two of the three women are from Uzbekistan.

A special squad of police on Saturday arrested seven persons including three women who were engaged in flesh trade. Two of the three women are from Uzbekistan.  

According to sources, these foreign nationals have come to India on business visas to do side roles in Hindi films. Four of the arrested persons have been identified as Parmeshwar Mandal, Kishore Mandal, Kailash Devlal, Chetlal Mandal. They would allegedly force the women into flesh trade after luring them with easy money. 

Based on inputs received, the police laid a trap and a decoy was sent under the disguise of a customer.

Assistant police inspector Nitin Patil said that the accused charged Rs30,000 from each customer. The initial investigation has revealed that Parmeshwar was the mastermind. Most of the dealings were done through mobile phones.

The accused have been charged under the sections of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). The police have not ruled put more arrests in the case.
