Two police teams have been formed by the Dadar police to nab a rape accused Vicky Ravindra Mohite who is absconding after raping a 16-year-old school student from Worli.

Confirming it, a police officer of Dadar police station said, “Two police teams led by sub inspectors each had been formed.

Besides Vicky’s Worli Koliwada house, the police also searched his friends and relatives houses in the city to nab Vicky. But, the police was unable to trace him. His parents were also questioned for his whereabouts. However, even they did not know the location of their son,” added the police officer.

Vicky, a SSC student was missing from the area since May 2 after the victim registered the complaint of gang rape at Dadar police station. His mobile phone was also found to be switched off, said the officer. He added that the victim knew Vicky for the past two years. Both used to go to same tuition classes where they became close friends and met each other frequently at several places during the holidays.

The Dadar police have arrested five people including four teenagers-Pawan Angre,18, Mahesh Mane,19, Hitesh Kalokh, 19, Ashwin Murudkar, 19 and taxi driver Anand Ladge, 44, in connection with gang rape and threatening to kill a 16-year-old girl from Worli over a period of two weeks. The victim, student of Worli’s Janata High School mustered the courage to speak against the men who raped her twice within an hour in a taxi on Tuesday. The police also seized the taxi in which the victim was raped. The taxi has been sent to chemical analyser test to collect the evidence.
