SaPrem SaPa (alumnus association of SP College) organised a ‘dahi handi against corruption’ on Monday.

Three pots, symbolising popular scams in the country, were broken by ‘Govindas’ on the college premises in the presence of a large number of citizens and volunteers of India Against Corruption (IAC).

Film star and spokesperson of SaPrem SaPa, Rahul Solapurkar said, “Anna has taken on the demons of corruption and Jan Lokpal for us. So, this year, we have decided to celebrate the festival of dahi handi in this unique fashion.”

He said the ‘Govindas’ who smashed the pots did it for free. The ‘Govindas’ had donned masks of Hazare. “So, for us, it was Anna who was conquering corruption,” he said.

Pratik Borlikar, a student of SP College said, “Through this unique dahi-handi, we are trying to spread public awareness about the need for Jan Lokpal.”
