Even after the Juhu school, recalled the suspension order on the 13-year-old student, who had posted abusive language on his principal’s wall, the education department has started a probe to ascertain if the boy was provoked into using profanities or if it was only a childish prank.

On February 12, two boys had allegedly left lewd messages on the Facebook wall of school principal from MP Shah School, Vile Parle. The principal had suspended one boy for a month. But on Wednesay, the school recalled the suspension order after a marathon meeting was held at the school between the school management, principal and the student’s parents.

The department is treating the matter seriously, as allegations were flying from both the sides. The principal had stated that the boy left abusive messages on her wall with out any provocation from her side. But his parents insisted that the principal was chatting with the students and had also resorted to foul language. “As the allegations were made from both the sides, we are treating the matter seriously. I have asked one of our officials to talk to the school principal and the boy, following which action will be initiated,” said PR Pawar, education inspector of western region.

But in the first stages of the inquiry itself, the education department has hit a road block, as the child’s parents allegedly are not willing to co-operate. The principal had to take a leave to attend a sick relative at Delhi. “We wanted to start the inquiry on Thursday, but the parents are not willing to talk and the school principal had to take off due to a family emergency,” said Pawar.

Pawar added that they interviewed both the boys- 13-year-old boy and his friend in Std X, on Thursday. “They admitted to posting abusive language on the principal’s Facebook wall. But the reasons still remain unclear.”
