Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Friday said that truly long-lasting peace does not stem from the fear of nuclear bombs, but from education.
He gave a lecture on ‘Ancient Wisdom, Modern Thoughts’ to students of the University of Mumbai at the varsity’s convocation hall.
“It is only the youth who can bring a change in the system,” he said. “They can create a new world, where peace and democracy will prevail. No force can stop them or hinder them.”
After the lecture, he spent an hour interacting with students from different colleges.
