The investigation wing of the Income-Tax department on Tuesday carried out a survey of the residential premises of actor Bobby Deol’s father-in-law Dev Ahuja. Ahuja is the promoter of Centurion Bank and managing director of Twentieth Century finance.

The survey was carried out, as the department had received information of Ahuja allegedly having disproportionate wealth running in crore of rupees deposited in benami accounts abroad.

The survey was carried out at Ahuja’s residence on early Tuesday morning at the NCPA apartments in Nariman Point. The department is now scrutinising some documents recovered from the residence.

I-T sleuths further issued summons under section 161 of the I-T Act and questioned Ahuja’s daughter, Tanya, on the bank accounts, as she is the nominee in a will prepared by her father.
Tanya, who is married to Bobby, resides at actor Dharmendra’s residence in Juhu-Vile Parle Scheme.
