Gold stolen on bus to Kolhapur

A 23-year-old employee of a jewellery shop from Kolhapur was robbed by three persons on Saturday night, when he was traveling in a bus from Mumbai to Kolhapur.

The complainant Butaram Joraram Devashi, was traveling in a private bus, carrying the gold ornaments of around 3700 gram, worth Rs78 lakh. Devashi, who boarded the bus at Crawford Market, was carrying the ornaments in his bag. When the bus came near Haffkine Institute, the ornaments were missing from the bag.

“Devashi suspects three people, who he had seen while boarding the bus. The Bhoiwada police station is following the case,” said Suhas Warke, DCP, zone III.
