Flag hoisting ceremonies in Maharashtra to be held at 9.05am tomorrow

In Mumbai, the flag will be hoisted by the chief minister whereas in Pune by the governor and in all divisional and district headquarters by the ministers-in-charge.

Maharashtra government has directed that the official flag hoisting ceremonies tomorrow to mark the 63rd Independence Day all over the state should be held at 9.05 am sharp.
 
In Mumbai, the flag will be hoisted by the chief minister whereas in Pune by the governor and in all divisional and district headquarters by the ministers-in-charge.
 
To enable the people to attend the official functions, no ceremony will be arranged by any government or semi-government offices on the day between 8.35am and 9.35am, a press note issued by the protocol department said here today.
 
If any office or institute wants to celebrate flag hoisting ceremony, it can do so before 8.35 am or after 9.35 am, the release said.
 
Minister for rural development, Jayant Patil will unfurl tricolour at Vashi, the Konkan Bhavan Commissionerate; minister for women and child development Subhash Zanak will hoist the national flag at Nanded; minister of state for revenue, Prakash Solanke will hoist the tricolour at Akola and minister of state for housing Sachin Ahir at Osmanabad whereas regional officials and Tehsildars at district sub-divisional and taluka headquarters respectively.
 
The tricolour will be hoisted at all government and public buildings and also on important important forts.
 
Mantralaya, New Administrative Building, Vidhan Bhavan and Nagpur Divisional Commissionerate, high court building will be illuminated,the release said.
