Cops to patrol outside schools in Mumbai

With the shadow of three rape-and-murder of minors in Kurla lurking, the Mumbai police have geared up to ensure safety of minor, particularly school going children.

Taking a pro-active stand, police stations across the city have been instructed to deploy patrolling vans and beat marshals in neighbourhoods that have schools.

After a eight-year-old girl was allegedly molested and her attacker was caught trying to force her into a car in Bandra on Monday, the police have stepped up their vigil to avert offences relating to minors in the city. The man was arrested.
