A bomb threat which later on turned out to be a hoax, to a civic school in Harishankar Joshi Road in Dahisar, Mumbai sent the police on a wild goose chase. As per the police, the hoax threat spread by an unknown parent, who informed other parents that there was a bomb placed inside the school which would explode in the afternoon.

However, when the police with a team of BDDS personnel and the fire brigade conducted an intense search in the school, they did not find anything.

A parent claimed they met a person who informed them there was a bomb inside the school which is located near the Dahisar railway station. Worried about the situation, the parent rushed to the school to collect his child.

He also informed the school authorities who in turn notified the police. ‘’The school had around 1000 students at the time. We evacuated the building and checked the entire building but did not find any signs of explosives. We have not yet registered any case,’’ said a senior police official.
