Any govt ID will do as proof for train passes

The ministry of railways has decided to accept the Identity card, PAN card, Passport, Driving License, Voter Identity Card and Credit Card issued with photograph by any Government of India or some Government Agency in India as proof of Identity for issue and renewal of season tickets on local trains.

The card should be shown to the booking clerks while renewing season tickets.  The serial number of such document shall be written on season ticket.  While travelling, the passengers must carry this document, along with season ticket.
