The cyber cell of the Mumbai crime branch arrested two employees of Air India, a government-owned airline, for allegedly posting a threat to one of their colleagues and defaming the flag of the ruling party on a popular social networking site.
According to the police, KV Jagannathan and Mayank Mohan Sharma posted a threat to a cabin crew member who had joined the organisation in 2004, and posted an obscene morphed image of the ruling party’s flag.
According to sources, the Jagannathan and Sharma held a grudge against their colleague because he was to contest the upcoming union elections of Air India.
The duo was produced in the Esplanade court on Friday and remanded in police custody for eight days.
While Jagannathan lives in Thane, Sharma is a resident of Kopar Khairane in Navi Mumbai.
