In the time where people go vocal about their emotions on social media and other engaging platforms, but fail to express out in the open, here is an initiative by SIES college students, as they released the theme for their upcoming intercollegiate festival 'Siesons'.

The theme for the festival is 'Celebrating You'. The volunteers have come up with an innovative way by decorating a car with emoticons and driving it around the city as a promotional affair. As the vehicle moves around the city, people will get a chance to interact and express themselves.

A way to express, not on social networking sites but in general. "This is organised so that people come out of their comfort shell and speak up, like they do virtually. It is really important to celebrate and express feelings constantly. It is not always work but working with fun. This year, with literary arts we have events not just for the smart category but for all as it involves a lot of general twists. Childhood is the phase where most of our emotions are expressed, and there dwells a child within each one of us," said Ajinkya Deshmukh, literary arts head of SIESONS.

The theme of the festival was released by principal Dr Rita Basu on December 3. It received a loud cheering crowd in the college premises. The college is dwelling with enthusiasm and excitement, along with the energetic beats adding to the fun element.

Talking about the fest, Vasanti Rajadhyaksha, professor and convenor of students council at Siesons-15 said, "In the era of social networking, personal communication is taking a back seat. One may be surrounded by a crowd and yet not communicate with anyone. Student talent is being unreleased in the rat race to get good results, admissions, jobs. The theme allows students to express themselves through a plethora of events in varied categories."

"While talking to many people through our smile express team, we inquired on how they celebrate themselves? I learnt that the ability in a person marks him/her out of the crowd and helps him to stay in connection to its expression. All know the importance of compromise, but not many know actually when to act for it. Talking to people from corporate professional to common man helps to understand the status," said Sanidh Poojary, media PR executive of Siesons-15.

Also, this is when the theme song was released 'Hai Haq Tujhe', which was presented by the college band. This was to motivate everyone to work for what they love the most rather than chasing the world out, because its time to celebrate yourself.
