Despite sharing power, the Shiv Sena will move a resolution exposing the failure of the BJP-led government at the Centre and in Maharashtra.
The Shiv Sena, at its national executive meeting slated for January 23, will sharpen its attack against the BJP while expressing its resolve to bring Shivshahi (the Shiv Sena rule) in Maharashtra in the 2019 Assembly polls.
Despite sharing power, the Shiv Sena will move a resolution exposing the failure of the BJP-led government at the Centre and in Maharashtra. Besides, the party will move sub resolutions attacking the BJP for vote politics to remain in power by pitting caste and community against each another.
A Shiv Sena leader, currently involved in drafting these resolutions, told DNA, "The BJP-led government failed to deliver at both the Centre and state levels and the present situation is heading for anarchy. In a progressive state like Maharashtra, there is a threat for social and communal harmony as the BJP has failed to keep its promise to provide reservations. It stands exposed.''
He said the party will reiterate its resolve to assume power going solo in the coming Assembly elections.
On the plight of farmers, Shiv Sena will move a resolution holding the BJP led government for technical and administrative glitches. ''Even after the announcement of the crop loan waiver scheme in July last year, there is an increase in farmer suicides as they struggle to cope. The party will express its solidarity and support the cause,'' the Sena leader said.
"Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' home city Nagpur has witnessed an spike in crime while atrocities on the backward classes are rising. The resolution will seek action in maintaining law and order,'' the leader noted.
