Sanskari father, but not so sanskari son

According to Santa Cruz police, Shivang Alok Nath on Monday midnight was drunken driving his SUV , who was intercepted at SV road near the Santa Cruz police station. Police also recorded the ruckus created by Shivang's female friends at the police station.

The son of television industry's sanskari babuji and a veteran actor, Alok Nath was held by the Bandra Traffic police division for allegedly drunken driving his SUV. After the driver fled in spite of cops signal to halt, he was intercepted and was fined for Rs2,600,after which he was asked to be present in Bandra court.

According to Santa Cruz police, Shivang Alok Nath on Monday midnight was drunken driving his SUV , who was intercepted at SV road near the Santa Cruz police station. Police also recorded the ruckus created by Shivang's female friends at the police station.

"We saw the accused trying to change seats with a female driver to claim that he wasn't driving the vehicle," said a Santacruz police officer. "But later, he confessed that he was on the driving seat after the female friends created ruckus at the police station. We let him off after we fined him and impounded his vehicle,"said the official.

DCP Ashok Dudhe, PRO for Mumbai police revealed, "During the bandobast, it is mandatory to stop the vehicle when signalled by the on-duty police officers."

"In spite of the two females present in the car arguing about being on the driver's seat, we booked Shivang for not possessing license, drunk driving and disobeying orders," said Dudhe.

When drunk, go home sans-car : Mumbai police

"The Mumbai police have initiated a major crackdown on the drink and drive violators. We conduct nakabandis to ensure that the driver is not drunk, and if found violating the norms, we won't spare that person irrespective of his or her designation," said DCP Ashok Dudhe, PRO, Mumbai police.

"We advice that the driver should not be behind the wheels when drunk, and avoid violating the law," added Dudhe.

Veteran actor Alok Nath is referred as the sanskari babuji due to his roles of being the cultured father figure in various television shows and films. The twitterati took pot shots on the veteran actor and his son post the incident.
