The Sion police have seized the mobile phone used by Dr Vipul Chaudhary, a resident medical officer at Sion hospital, for allegedly filming a woman doctor when she went to take a bath on Thursday.

The police had arrested Chaudhary on Thursday after the victim caught him red-handed from a toilet adjacent to the ladies bathroom in the hospital's girls hostel. The police said the mobile phone will be sent to the forensic laboratory for a detailed scientific check. "We will send it to the laboratory for analysis as we want to check if he did something like this earlier too and deleted the clips later," said an officer.

"The accused is currently in Titwala. We are making inquiries with his friends, whether they know anything about any previous incidents." Chaudhary was on Friday produced before the local holiday court, which granted him bail on a surety of Rs 15,000.

On Thursday, the victim, who is pursuing her MD in gynaecology from Sion hospital, went to take bath, and as she was undressing herself, found a mobile phone on the partition wall the bathroom shares with a toilet. She immediately came out of the bathroom and banged on the toilet door, and alerted the police. Later, Chaudhary was brought to the police station and booked for outraging the modesty of a woman, and under relevant sections of the Information Technology Act.
