PM Narendra Modi's first rally in Thane on October 12

The city is gearing up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's maiden visit to be held on October 12. After much confusion and drama, the venue has been finalised as Highland Garden at Balkum and authorities are getting ready for the day.

Sanjay Kelkarm, the BJP candidate from Thane constituency informed, "The venue is final and the party workers are putting in their best efforts in cleaning the entire area. We all are ready to welcome Modi in clean Thane." 

With this rally in Thane, PM's Maharashtra tour would culminate. As the PM has recently launched clean India Movement, hence taking a cue from the same, the party workers are busy in cleaning the area and have made sure to clean all that has been scattered around for long.

The ward Majiwada Manpada has been painted new, all dividers and adjacent area has been painted, whereas every problematic corner has also been fixed. Meanwhile, the police officials and Traffic cops are also getting ready for the big day. Traffic cops deciding the important diversions to be made and police officials are getting ready for the security of the area. The police cops have been deployed in the area a day before and residents in near by housing societies have also been asked to stay calm and co operate for the day.

The party workers are enthusiastic about Modi's visit. He has ability to turn masses and that his words have lasting impact that can affect people's last minute decision. His visit and interaction with people would be helpful. "It is an opportunity for me to see my Prime Minister in the city and leaving all my work I would definitely attend and get a glimpse of the PM" says Anubhav Joshi, 25, a Thane resident.

"There could not be a better treat as PM Narendra Modi is coming to the city and we all friends have locked our time and attend his live show as we all enjoy his flawless speech," said Manish Kant.

Whether it be young or old, everyone is kicked about PM's visit. The managing authorities inform thatas the speech is on a holiday, we are expecting big rush hence, we have made all preparations and are ready for the visit. The cultural city might get something important from the PM's visit and people, too, are optimistic about this. Residents even share that at least the entire area has been clean and is a big gift for now.
