With an increasing response to admissions for various courses of the Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), based in Nashik, the period of admission has been extended by the varsity.

Registrar Dr. Dinesh Bonde stated that the online admission process for various distance learning courses of the YCMOU began on July 21, 2016. "We have received a good response so far, and to make more opportunities available to the students, the last date of admission has been extended from August 31, 2016 to September 15, 2016. Students will not be charged a late fee for this extended period," stated Dr Bonde.

The extended date is applicable to all courses except for courses by the agricultural science department and B.ed course.

The admission to various courses of the YCMOU was opened online, in July. This has made it easy for students, from all over the state, to apply from their PCs or from a cyber café. The YCMOU has eight divisional centres, and students can approach these centres for admission.

Students can also call 0253-2230580 or 0253-2230734 for any query relating to the admission process. Information is also available on theycmou.digitaluniversity.ac website.

Controller of examinations (YCMOU), Arjun Ghatule, urged students to avail the opportunity of the extended date for admission.
