An unclaimed bag was found near a hotel in Mumbai on Friday, triggering bomb scare in the area, police said.
"An unattended bag was found near a hotel in Colaba this afternoon," a police officer said.
On receiving the information, a team of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) arrived at the site. However, nothing suspicious was found in the bag, he said.

Informing about the incident on its official Twitter handle, city police said, "Don't believe in rumours. There was an unattended bag in Colaba. No bomb or explosive devise found".
Appreciating Mumbai police for their efforts, Anand Mahindra, CMD, Mahindra Group, tweeted, "Asked to evacuate our office building in Mumbai due to suspicious bags found nearby.
My compliments to the @MumbaiPolice for their alertness".
"There is no cause of worry. BDDS team did not find anything suspicious in the bag," he said in another tweet.
