Suspicious of the fact that a conspiracy is being hatched in Arthur Road Jail, minister of state for social justice Dilip Kamble has approached the jail authorities and asked them to keep NCP MLA Ramesh Kadam and his brother Umesh in separate jails.

Ramesh Kadam is in Arthur Road jail after being arrested for multi-crore scam in Annabhau Sathe Mahamandal during the Congress-NCP Democratic Front government rule. Last week, Umesh Kadam along with four others was arrested for breaking the seal of the office of Annabhau Sathe Mahamandal in Dahisar. Kadam and his accomplices had broken the seals and locks at all the three floors of the building.

Minister Kamble informed media persons that he has a hunch that Ramesh Kadam wanted to bring his brother and other accomplices to Arthur Road jail and that is why they got involved in this act. Kamble argued that the CID team already has possession of all the documents about the scam and office of the Mahamandal does not have anything; thus breaking the seal makes no sense. Kamble also said that despite knowing that the area a strong has CCTV network, they came to Mahamandal office in the car on which the words 'MLA' has been written in bold letters. Kamble said that he has informed the jail authorities about this possibility and asked them to keep Ramesh Kadam and his brother in different areas if not in different jails.
