Dera Sacha Sauda chief and self-proclaimed godman Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Insan on Monday said he expects his movie to release after January 27.

The baba-turned-rock star was in Mumbai to address a press conference on MSG — The Messenger of God, which failed to get certification from the censor board last week. It was scheduled to release on January 16. Even if the film gets the censor nod, it will not be released immediately because he and his organisation are busy preparing a langar in the memory of his guru in Haryana from January 23 to 25.

"I do not know what issues they (censor board) had. Earlier they said they did not understand the movie, later they said they wanted a statement removed and wanted something shown before and after the movie. We did all that, yet there was a problem," said Ram Rahim.

"At one point they also said the government is not listening. Now, they have listed eight new issues, in all of which there is no mention of the movie at all."

Ram Rahim, who is shown beating up people in the movie, was asked if it was not a departure from his image of a saint who believes in non-violence. "I am fighting to save daughters," said Ram Rahim, who showed a trailer and four songs of his movie.

He added that the movie is against drugs and prostitution and he chose the medium after some of his disciples were scolded for watching movies. "That is when I thought why not make movies a medium of only good things, so that parents tell their children to go watch them."

On the Khans and the talk that they are required to make a movie a hit, Ram Rahim claimed to not know them and sounded positive of his movie becoming a hit.

"I have not dealt with any religion or caste. I have done this movie as a karmayogi (doer)," he said, when pointed out how religious issues are sensitive in India.
