A 49-year-old media professional died on Sunday after falling off the terrace of his building in Goregaon West. Adarsh Mishra was on the terrace of Trimurti Cooperative Housing Society for his morning exercise and yoga when he suffered a fall, the police said.

Mishra had been staying on a seventh-floor flat in the building with his family for seven years. After the incident, he was rushed to civic-run Siddharth hospital, where he was declared dead before arrival.

"We believe Mishra's fall was an accident, but other angles are also being investigated to ascertain the cause of his death. Above his flat is the terrace where he used to go for exercise for at least an hour daily. CCTV cameras show him leaving for the terrace around 9.30 am, clad in track pants and a T-shirt, carrying a hanky and his phone, and falling to the ground at 10.30 am," said a police officer.

Nobody was seen going to the terrace so the police do not suspect any foul play.

Mishra's father-in-law, Narayan Ingalaya, said he didn't believe it was a case of suicide as Mishra was "mentally strong". A relative said Mishra worked for an English magazine and had been facing issues related to work.
