The three-day long state executive meeting of Maharashtra BJP unit, scheduled in Kolhapur from May 4, has been postponed.

The meeting has been postponed as the Parliament session is in progress and all MPs will not be able to attend the party conclave, state BJP spokesperson Madhav Bhandari said on Saturday.

This was to be the first major meeting of the state BJP unit after the party came to power in the state in October last year.

BJP president Amit Shah was scheduled to address the inaugural session, while Union Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari was to address the valedictory session. The new date will be announced later, Bhandari said.
