Forms for Cidco’s mass housing project available from today

Application forms for the mass housing project at Ulwe by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) will be available from Wednesday at all railway stations in Navi Mumbai.

Application forms for the mass housing project at Ulwe by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (Cidco) will be available from Wednesday at all railway stations in Navi Mumbai, except Turbhe and Seawoods. The forms, which are priced at Rs50 each, will also be sold at all branches of the Thane Janata Sahakari Bank (TJSB).    

“The applicants can collect the form from railway stations, but they will have to submit it along with the required documents and demand draft at a TJSB branch,” said a bank official. TJSB has three branches in Navi Mumbai located at Vashi, Panvel and Airoli. “The form will be available in all our branches across the state. Also, the bank is providing loan scheme for applicants, wherein the earnest money deposit (EMD) will be financed by the bank at nominal charges.”

The mass housing project of 1,344 tenements to come up at Ulwe will mainly cater to the middle-income group (MIG). 800 houses of UL-I (210 sq ft) are priced at Rs6.35-6.88 lakh, 8 tenements of UL-II A (250.91 sq ft) will be available for Rs8.89 lakh, and 538 flats of UL-II (320.23 sq ft) will be offered at Rs10.86-Rs 11.65 lakh. The EMD expected to be paid for the project is Rs15,000 for UL-I and Rs25,000 for UL-II.

“We are charging as per the government directives on carpet area. The forms will be available from July7 to August 4 and the filed forms will be accepted from July14 to August 16,” said a Cidco official. The entire township is expected to take at least another 18 months to be ready.
