Students who clear exams in May can apply for college admissions in June.

Till now, students who fail in HSC and SSC exams were given a chance to re-appear in September-October. Since the results will be declared only by December, they will be able to take college admissions only by June the next year.

The new move will help failed students to save one year.

However, there is no clarity whether the September-October examinations will continue or not.

Tawde was unavailable for comments. His media co-ordinator Govind Yateyekar said it has not been decided yet.
