Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis takes oath to fight terrorism on the eve of Anti-terrorism Day, which is observed on May 21, at Mantralaya on Friday

Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday took oath from Mantralaya officers and employees expressing to find solution to fight terrorism and divisive forces with united might along with maintaining social harmony and fabric of the society.

The attack on the then Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi is observed as Anti-Terrorism and Anti-Violence Day. Fadnavis took oath from Mantralaya employees during a function organised to observe this day on Friday. The public works department (PWD) minister of state (MoS) Oravin Pote-Patil, chief secretary Swadheen Kshatriya, secretary to general administration department Pramod Nalawade and water resources secretary Prabhakar Deshmukh were present among others.

The oath expresses to reach a decision by the citizens towards their faith in non-violence and tolerance which is tradition and heritage of this country. It also expresses resolve to fight all kinds of terrorism and violence with united might and to preserve and augment peace, social harmony and human values.
