Fadnavis said that Congress could not provide an inch of land for proposed Dr Ambedkar memorial at Indu Mill.
Alleging that Congress wanted to grab Indu Mill land, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said that it was his government which after coming to power has brought work for the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar memorial on track. Fadnavis was addressing the concluding session of the two-day National convention of the BJP SC Morcha at Nagpur. Maharashtra minister for social justice Rajkumar Badole, minister of state (MoS) for social justice Dilip Kamble, V Satish, Dushyant Gautam and Krishna Raj were present on the dais.
Fadnavis said that Congress could not provide an inch of land for proposed Dr Ambedkar memorial at Indu Mill. He said that Congress always used scheduled castes and others from underprivileged backgrounds for political purpose.
Criticising Congress for providing only lip service for last seven decades, Fadnavis said, "Congress used to talk about development and ensured that downtrodden in the society remained poor and backward so that its political purpose is served. Our style of functioning is different as PM Narendra Modi is working hard to fulfill aspirations of people of India. He does not want people to wait for availing fruits of development and that is the reason he is implementing various schemes for providing own house, electricity and domestic gas to every citizen.' Alleging that Congress for last seven decades exploited poor and backward communities as vote bank for political purpose, Fadnavis questioned Congress on how ownership houses, domestic gas cylinder and electricity remain unfulfilled dreams?
Stating that Congress does not have any reply on development which is taking place, Fadnavis said that helpless Congress is busy in spreading in lies. Fadnavis said that even though Congress is trying to confuse people by spreading lies, people know that who is achieving the dream of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar by providing basic amenities like toilet, electricity, shelter to poor.
