The family of the four boys from Thane and Kalyan, who are suspected to have joined Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), have vehemently denied that their sons are a part of any such group. The family members have told the police that their children were not taking part in the war and that their last call came in the first week of June when they assured them that they are safe. However, after that they have been untraceable.

"The allegations are many and all the four children have not been to any of the Islamic centres which are here in Kalyan. Our children are well educated and God knows from where some of the people are getting to know that our children are in to all these things. I can assure that our children are not in to any kind of military force or any kind of defence force. To be a part of this you need to be healthy enough and our boys are too skinny to be a part of the organisation. We are tired of explaining to all the agencies the same thing. In a day I am getting more than 35 to 40 calls and I think we have not done anything wrong and our children are very much safe. We have directly approached the police station and are giving them all the updates about our children. Whenever there is a war in any country there are many job opportunities after the war gets over. So, they might have been lured on those basis. But it's very had to believe so. Our phones have been traced and we are just hoping for the best ", says Iftikar Khan uncle of Fahad Shaikh.

One of the police officers from Thane said, "We are investigating from all sides and have not let any stone unturned. The parents of the boys are cooperating a lot. They have provided all the details that we have asked for. We are also investigating the source of the letter which the family received telling them that their son is a part of ISIS."

A family member of one of the boys said, "The four boys must be knowing each other. We came to know this when we went to lodge a complaint at Bazarpeth police station where we saw other missing boys' parents too. We didn't speak to them, but later we came to know about this. They are well educated and it seems very wrong and it hurts when someone says that our child is into terrorist activities. None of the four boys never had an NC on them so its difficult to believe that they can be a part of such an activity. In fact, they were more studious and I think this news is baseless. We are helpless as all are just allegations on us but no one is trying to understand our plight. All the boys family members are under depression and the situation is getting worse day by day".

Kalyan resident Alam Shaikh says that, "We are scared and have told my children too be on the safer side and not to get involved in any kind of problems. This is the first incident in Kalyan and it has brought goose bumps. After these things came in to light, I have been keeping regular watch on my child, though he is HSC but we cannot predict future, so its better to keep a tab on them. I also visit their Face book profile and other social networking sites to know about them".

A senior police inspector from Bazarpeth police station said, "We have taken the missing complaint of the four boys and the family members of the missing boys asked us to not share their addresses or numbers with any one. Further probe is on and we are taking precautionary measures".
