Currently investigating the case of a 19-year-old boy being pushed out of a crowded local train, the Dadar government railway police (GRP) believes that the deceased and his friends got in a scuffle with the accused, causing the deceased to lose his balance and fall from the train between Kurla and Sion stations.

As per the Dadar GRP, the deceased, Kadar Shaikh and his friends Sultan Shaikh, Imran Shaikh, Salman Shaikh and Samir Shaikh entered the general compartment of a CST-bound fast local from Mumbra. The accused in the case, Mahesh Shine, 33, boarded the same compartment after 10 stations, from Kurla. However, because of rush hour, Kadar and his friends initially didn't allow Shinde to enter the train.

As per Balasaheb Bankar, senior PI, Dadar GRP, Kadar's friends told the police that when Shinde tried boarding the train, they blocked his entry as the compartment was teeming with commuters. However, Shinde managed boarding from another entrance, which was when a scuffle broke between Shinde and Kadar's group.

About the investigation, Bankar said: "We got to know that when Shinde entered, Kadar was standing at the door of the train. With one hand on the metallic frame of the compartment, Kadar tried hitting Shinde with the other, which is when he lost his balance and fell from the train."

The senior PI added that since Kadar's friends claimed that it was because of Shinde that he fell off, the GRP have arrested the accused. The Dadar GRP also informed that Kadar had no valid ticket with him during the incident. "When we checked his pockets, we just found the ID card for a railway pass, but no valid ticket or pass with the deceased," added Bankar.
