Scores of activists of Arvind Kejriwal's India Against Corruption (IAC) were today briefly detained by police while staging a protest outside the family home of the Ambani brothers here to demand a probe into alleged parking of black money by them in a Swiss bank.

A few IAC activists also held a protest at headquarters of the HSBC, which has been accused by Kejriwal of engaging in money laundering, a charge denied by Britain's largest institutional bank.

The IAC protests came a day after Kejriwal alleged that Ambani brothers Mukesh and Anil, Jet Airways chairman Naresh Goyal, Congress MP Annu Tandon, and the Burmans of Dabur had stashed away unaccounted money in the Geneva branch of HSBC.

Led by senior IAC leader Mayank Gandhi, the protestors gathered outside the Ambanis' Sea Wind building in South Mumbai, shouted slogans against the two top industrialists and alleged that India Inc was colluding with the ruling party in "looting the nation".

"India Inc runs the government and not UPA. Ambanis may say that the ruling Congress Party is in their pockets, but the common man will not let it go on like this," Gandhi said.

Gandhi also said IAC would step up its campaign against corporate corruption which has so far not been exposed much.

Kejriwal and lawyer-activist Prashant Bhushan had yesterday alleged that around Rs 6,000 crore of black money was lying in 700 accounts of HSBC's Geneva branch.

They claimed that people who had deposited "small amounts of money" in the bank were raided but "big fish" like Mukesh and Anil Ambani, Goyal, Tandon and Burmans (Anand, Pradeep and Ratan) of Dabur were "let off" at the behest of government.

The Ambanis, Burmans, Tandon, as also Goel have since denied the charge.
